A tall, sparsely-leafed, short-lived, half-hardy perennial with lavender-purple flowers.

 

Sow seeds directly in the ground in spring, or under glass in late-winter.

 

Grow in full sun or dappled shade.

 

Flowers from August - October.

 

Do not cut back dead stalks until new ones have emerged in spring. Although frost-tender, plants will self-seed.

 

Ideal for low-maintenance gardens and beneficial for attracting wildlife, particularly butterflies.

 

Height 150cm, spread 45cm.
