Beetroot - Barbabietola di Chioggia

A traditional Italian beet with unusual candy-stripe rings when roots are sliced. Requires less cooking than normal beets and has a lovely mild flavour.

Sow thinly from April to August, direct into the growing site 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart.

When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm apart.

This collection of seeds by The Garden House, Brighton, consists of a hand-picked selection of some favourite vegetables and flowers, all chosen for their quality and performance. Each one is a variety that has been successfully trialled at The Garden House.
